Thank you for signing up to be a Video Scholar for your upcoming class!

Important information:

  • The Video Scholarship will cover the cost of the class ($275), but you are still responsible for travel costs (getting to and from the class) and accommodation (hotel or where you stay during the class).

After the in-person part of your course ends, please send us the following within 1 week:

  1. 20-30 photos

  2. 15 unedited video clips (each can be 30 seconds to 2 minutes long)

  3. Create a 1-minute video on Instagram. Show the most important moments from the weekend. Be creative! You can talk or use text to describe what you learned, fun activities, or things you enjoyed. Share what you learned or your big takeaways from the weekend. This can be a video diary of your experience.

    • Post the video on your Instagram and tag @aupairclasses. Use the caption:
      "Video diary of my weekend class with Au Pair Experience."

    • Also, use these hashtags:
      #aupair #aupairlife #aupairusa #culturalcareaupair #bmcc #cuny #aupaircare #aupairlatinas #aupairinamerica

    • If you don’t have Instagram, you can send the edited video via WeTransfer instead.

What should I take pictures and videos of?

  • Focus on the class and your experience. This can include:

    • Candid (not posed) pictures of you and your classmates.

    • A few posed pictures of the whole group.

    • Photos of interesting places or things you see during your travels, like buildings or landmarks.

    • Selfies are welcome!

  • Be creative and have fun! Capture the energy of the class, the city, and your experience!

How should I send my content?

  • How to send:

    • You can use WeTransfer to send photos and videos, or you can email as a zip file. You may need to send them in more than one group.
